Here are answers to the most frequently asked questions we receive about SeeUsPlay. If you have any questions not answered here, please reach out to us.

Q: What sports does SeeUsPlay support?

Pretty much any multi-player team sport played on a field or court! We support soccer, American football (including flag football), basketball, volleyball, rugby, lacrosse, field hockey and ice hockey. Other sports may work but haven't been verified yet.

Q: What's a Token Pack?

SeeUsPlay offers two Token Packs: 100 Tokens and 200 Tokens. Each time we create a game video for you, we withdraw tokens from your Token Pack. Games recorded in 4K resolution require 4 tokens, while games in 5K require 5 tokens. Our 100 Token Pack can be used to create 25 game videos recorded in 4K or 20 videos in 5K. If you're wondering why the price for 5K is higher than 4K, it's because processing 5K videos is more expensive.

You decide what resolution to record in for each sporting event (our App makes setting the resolution easy!). 4K works well for smaller fields or courts but you'll probably want to use 5K for larger fields, where it will deliver better video quality. You can use a single Token Pack to create videos for a basketball game recorded in 4K and a soccer game in 5K.

Q: What happened to your 20-Game Pack and Unlimited Games subscriptions?

The 20-Game Pack has been replaced by our Token Packs. For customers that purchased a 20-Game Pack they will receive a Token Pack that allows them to record the number of games remaining on their 20-Game Pack (in 5K). The Token Pack has exactly the same features as the 20-Game Pack except customers will now have the option to record in 4K as well as 5K.

The Unlimited Games subscription is now discontinued. Existing customers will receive a Token Pack with unlimited tokens during the remaining annual period of their Unlimited Games subscription. We won't be offering an unlimited Token Pack replacement for this subscription. After analyzing usage of our Unlimited Plans, we found the vast majority of our users would get a better value and more flexibility by purchasing the 200 Token Pack.

Q: Can I use my GoPro camera normally when it's not being used for making SeeUsPlay videos?

Yup! Use your camera to film all your favorite activities outside of sports games. When you use your GoPro with SeeUsPlay we automatically scan your camera settings and update them to our required values. With our snap-in quick release mounts it takes just seconds to attach and detach your camera to the SeeUsPlay Rig.

Q: Why is the video quality of SeeUsPlay so much better than other AI sports cameras?

We use GoPro cameras which are known for their amazing video quality and ability to record in up to 5K resolution. Most soccer cameras use 4K sensors and since 5K has nearly twice as many pixels, it's a difference you can't miss. GoPro is well known for offering market-leading action camera video quality, with proprietary image processing technology built into their GP-series camera chips. On top of that, we add in our own Tri-Steady video stabilization technology and other proprietary techniques for ensuring stunning sports video quality.

Q: What mobile OS does the SeeUsPlay App support?

We support recent versions of both Android and iOS. See your app store for more details.

Q: Is the SeeUsPlay Rig rainproof?

Yes, it is! We include GoPro USB passthrough doors with the Rig which enable you to create a rainproof connection between the cameras and the power bank inside the Rig. In addition, the SeeUsPlay Shade helps prevent rain drops from getting on the GoPro lens covers.

You may see soccer cameras that advertise lens covers with special coatings to repel water. In our experience, no coating can completely stop water from gathering on the lens cover. You'll get the best quality video if you can stop the rain drops from getting to the lens covers in the first place!

Note: Never use the SeeUsPlay Rig when there is a chance of lightning (and the game shouldn't be going on either!).

Q: Does SeeUsPlay support the GoPro Hero13 Black?

Yes!

Q: What GoPro cameras does SeeUsPlay support?

We support GoPro Hero9/10/11/12/13 Black models. See our Cameras page for the details!

Q: Does SeeUsPlay support the GoPro Hero11 Mini?

We love the form factor of the Hero11 Mini; however, the built-in battery means it doesn't currently work well with the SeeUsPlay use case.

Q: Does SeeUsPlay support the GoPro HERO (2024)?

No, not currently.

Q: Will GoPro Hero8 Black or earlier models work with SeeUsPlay?

Not currently. Based on extensive testing to deliver the best quality results and make recording as easy as possible, we only support GoPro Hero9/10/11/12/13 Black models.

Q: Can I use two different GoPro models with SeeUsPlay?

Yes, with some limitations. Any Hero11/12/13 can be used with other Hero11/12/13 models. See our Cameras page for the details!

Q: Does SeeUsPlay sell GoPro cameras?

No, we don't sell cameras.

Q: How long does it take for SeeUsPlay to upload video from my cameras?

It depends on the length of the game, your camera model, the camera's bitrate settings and the speed of your internet connection. For a typical 90-minute game you can expect the upload to take anywhere from 15 minutes to a few hours.

Some tips for minimizing upload time:

• Hero12 Black and later models support variable bit rate encoding which significantly reduces the size of the video files and required upload time.

• In addition, you can set your camera's bitrate settings to Standard instead of High (our recommended setting). This will slightly reduce the quality of your video, but it will result in much smaller video files.

• Using a Hero12 Black or later with Standard bitrates leads to the smallest possible files and fastest upload times (with some tradeoff in video quality).

Once started, upload and video creation are fully automated, so you can relax and wait for an email letting you know your videos have been uploaded to YouTube.

Q: How does SeeUsPlay compare to other automated soccer cameras?

We offer superior video quality due to our use of ultra-high resolution 5K GoPro cameras which record with about twice as many pixels as leading competitor's 4K cameras. Better yet, our plans start at about half the price (or less!) of competitors. That's twice the quality for half the price - a value you can't beat!
